The latest in IGF’s climate roundtable series, this session,
chaired by Dr Arunabha Ghosh, CEO of CEEW (Council on Energy, Environment and
Water), convened policymakers, investors, and entrepreneurs to tackle the dual
challenge of rising energy demand and climate commitments in emerging
economies. The report sets out practical measures for emerging economies to
balance rising energy demand with climate goals, including digitised grids,
battery storage, market reforms, and blended finance. It highlights UK–India
cooperation as key to scaling resilient, affordable clean energy solutions that
deliver both growth and decarbonisation.
