Creative Industries and Cultural Economy Summit

Culture and creativity are essential sectors at the heart of social cohesion. India is predicted to become one of the largest cultural influences in the world, looking to redefine its position within the global cultural scene. The arts and culture industry in the UK has contributed £8.5bn to the economy and the country’s spring budget of 2023 is set to provide collective tax reliefs to major artistic outlets. Both countries have untapped potential to collaborate and celebrate cultural blending, while supporting emerging creative industries for social, economic, and political impact on a global scale.

Building on the foundations of last year’s successful seminar, this year’s Creative Industries and Cultural Economy Summit will convene key leaders and stakeholders to continue the dialogue on a new vision of bilateral cultural exchange. With a special focus on digital innovation and economic models for the rejuvenation of cultural industries, heritage, institutional engagements and contemporary culture, the summit will aim to accelerate transnational exchange of creative innovation between the UK and India.
